- A photograph carries no depth, so it cannot be measured. Your walkthrough video can: it is turned into a 3D model of the room, and the model is what gets measured. A doorway in shot sets the scale, because a door is a standard height.

Questions
- Does the AI decide my prices?
- No. It reads your walkthrough and proposes scope — rooms, surfaces, coats, preparation and quantities. Every dollar comes from your own rates, calculated by the app. The model is never asked for a price and is instructed never to give one.
- How accurate is it?
- It depends on what the camera saw, and it tells you which. The walkthrough is turned into a 3D model of the room and the model is measured — a photograph on its own carries no depth. A doorway in shot sets the scale, because a door is a standard height, so the one thing worth doing is getting a whole doorway in frame and walking rather than turning on the spot. When the footage supports it, the figure is marked “Worked out” and shows how sure it is. When it does not, it is marked “Not measured” rather than quietly guessed, and you are asked to check it. You are approving every number either way.
- What if it gets a measurement wrong?
- Change it. Anything uncertain is flagged under "Things to confirm" with the reasoning shown, and every quantity, unit, coat count and preparation level is editable before you send. You can also override the final price outright and still see the full build-up.
- Does my customer need an app?
- No. You text or email them a link, it opens in their phone browser, and it talks them through what to film. Five short clips a room, about a minute in total. Nothing to install, no account to make, no password.
- Do I have to send it to the customer?
- No. Plenty of painters walk the job themselves and film it on the spot, which gives better footage than a homeowner will. You get the same estimate either way — the only difference is who is holding the phone.
- Does it do exteriors?
- Yes. An outside job is walked one side of the house at a time rather than room by room — the wall from the ground to the roofline, the cladding up close, the eaves and gutters, the windows and doors — and it asks about storeys and access, which change an outside price more than anything else.
- Do I have to use the AI at all?
- No. Add the rooms and surfaces by hand and it prices them exactly the same way. Filming is the faster way to a first draft, not a requirement.
- Can I use feet and gallons?
- Yes. Choose metric or imperial per account, and the rates convert between systems. The trade words change too — skirting or baseboards, cornice or crown moulding — so your customer reads their own language.
- What happens to my recordings?
- They are stored privately against your account and reachable only through short-lived signed links. The estimate is measured from stills taken out of that footage, which is why what the camera saw matters — and why you can watch every clip yourself on the review screen before you approve anything.
- Can I change my rates later?
- Any time. A quote already sent keeps the price it went out with, so updating your rates never restates something a customer is holding. Anything still in draft is repriced with the new rules.
- Can I cancel?
